Radio-Coteau Pinot Noir Trio

Sonoma Coast, Anderson Valley, Russian River Valley
Pinot Noir

For the 2004 La Neblina Sonoma Coast:

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
Good deep ruby-red. Sappy aromas of black raspberry, mocha, coffee, cola and earth; shows a liqueur-like sweetness without coming across as heavy. Very ripe and silky, with black fruit flavors currently dominated by mocha, chocolate and underbrush. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins. (ST) (6/2006)

Wine Spectator
Supple, graceful and harmonious, with a rich, elegant band of black cherry, blackberry, red plum, spice and hazelnut. Impresses with its caressing texture and understated elegance. (JL) (10/2006

For the 2004 Savoy Anderson Valley:

92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
Bright ruby-red. Superripe aromas of black raspberry, chocolate, brown spices, loam and underbrush; quite Burgundian in character. Fat, velvety and full, with dense flavors of blackberry and chocolatey oak. This offers terrific depth for North Coast pinot from the 2004 vintage. Finishes very long and smooth, with noble tannins. (ST) (6/2006)

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
A significant step up the quality ladder is the 2004 Pinot Noir Savoy. From the cool Anderson Valley microclimate, it possesses blueberry, black cherry, and meaty forest floor notes, terrific fruit in the aromatics, attack, mid-palate, and finish, and nicely integrated tannin. This cuvee is a blend of the Martini, Pommard, and Dijon 115 clones. (RP) (12/2006)

For the 2005 Alberigi Russian River Valley:

91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound
A ripe yet elegant nose emphasizing spicy red berry aromas that lead to moderately robust, sweet and mouth coating flavors that possess ample dry extract that lends a real sense of texture and depth, particularly on the long and sappy finish. There is a trace of warmth that comes up as the serving temperature rises so be sure to keep the wine cool. Excellent juice crafted in a lush but serious style as this will certainly be capable of aging. (10/2007)

91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
Medium red. Spicy and intensely floral nose shows energetic red berry aromas and a suave mineral quality. Silky in texture, with bright raspberry and strawberry flavors gently braced by soft acids. Finishes long, spicy and refreshingly brisk. Sussman advises that "this will really sing with six months in the bottle," as it has never seen much air. (6/2007)

90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2005 Pinot Noir Alberigi exhibits medium ruby color, gamey, earthy, allspice notes, with some sassafras and red currant nuances. Medium-bodied, it has crisp acidity, a sweet, savory mid-palate, and a fine finish. (RP) (12/2007)

Wine Spectator
Offers a mix of delicate cherry and raspberry flavors, with more prominent mineral and pebble notes. The tannins lay out a nice baseline, ending with a dry, dusty aftertaste. (9/2007)
