2016 Sangiacomo Vineyard Chardonnay

Winemaker Notes

This was a wonderful vintage which produced an incredible Chardonnay with great potential for aging. The fruit aromas of peach and pear are enhanced with hints of toasted oak, thyme and caramel. The wine is very full-bodied, with flavors of ripe peach and tropical fruits, with a rich, thick finish. The oak is very well integrated, adding light toast to the aroma and accentuating the wine’s richness with flavors of creamy vanilla and toffee. This Chardonnay can be enjoyed on its own or with anything that calls for rich, full-bodied vin blanc.

2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Crimson Hill Vineyard Red Hills

($30, 14.5%):
San Francisco Chronicle:

Leather and high-toned red fruit lead this heady wine, which fills out on the palate with currants, sweet vanilla and cedar.

Wine Information Our Cabernet Sauvignon is from our Crimson Hill Vineyard in the Red Hills district of Lake County. The vineyard is at 2,000 feet elevation and overlooks the southern end of Clear Lake. This 13-acre block was planted in 1995 with clone 7 Cabernet on 110R rootstock. The crimson red, volcanic soil provides the perfect site for growing great red wines. The climate is ideal for late season reds because the vineyard receives daily full sun with warm temperatures which are tempered by daily afternoon mistrals. The majority of the vineyard is contracted to Napa Valley wineries.
