Web Master's Personal Note: I have been buying and drinking these wines for years. They are the best value in California for what I consider "middle premium" wines - under $75. I have already purchased a case of the 2015 Chardonnay for my personal cellar. The Chardonnays age especially well for at least 5 years. The Late Harvest wines are some of the best sweet wines in California, with sufficient acid to balance the sweetness, and low in alcohol. Drink with ripe fruit or dark chocolate or other slightly sweet desserts. Highly recommended!
Notes from the winery about the 2016 Belle Terre: Only made in select years, this 2016 vintage starts with a great visual. Gold and lustrous in the glass, with hints of amber imply an incredibly decadent drinking experience. On the nose, orange marmalade is immediately distinctive followed by a litany of other citrus preserve notes. Nectarine and apricot with hints of mango follow the bright citrus notes. Deeper in the flavors, notes of fresh flowers and nectar complete the olfactory study. On the palate, citrus notes ring true. with deeper notes of honey making an appearance. The acidity helps to balance out the wine, and a lower alcohol percentage helps create a pleasant drinking experience. Drink now through 2020.
